Red Snapper Lined Up | Last Mango Charters
Capt. Tris Colket ·

A row of red snapper lined up after a day on the Last Mango. Snapper are the fish most likely to fill the cooler you take home: they live over the wrecks and the hard bottom off Fort Pierce, and they are as good on the plate as anything in the ocean.
How the day works
From the Fort Pierce City Marina the inlet puts you in deep water quickly, so you are fishing rather than steaming within the first part of the morning. A normal day puts the boat 10 to 15 miles out over the ledges and wrecks. Full days run 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and three-quarter days 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Taking them home
The mate fillets and bags your catch at the dock, free. Take it home, or walk it to a restaurant in town that will cook it for you that evening.
The Last Mango fishes out of the Fort Pierce City Marina, Dock E: full days and three-quarter days, whole boat, up to six anglers, with rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice and your fishing licence on board. See the trips and rates or check a date.
Seasons, size limits and bag limits are set by FWC and NOAA and change from year to year. Call the boat on 772-559-0594 and Capt. Tris will tell you exactly what is open the week you want to fish.
