The boat and the captain

A 40' custom-built Sportfish Express

Capt. Tris Colket has run charters on Florida's East Coast and the Bahama Islands for 25 years. The boat was built to fish, and it shows the moment you step on it.

The captain

Capt. Tris Colket

25 years of charter fishing on Florida's East Coast and the Bahama Islands. USCG-licensed, fully insured, and still the first one on the dock in the morning.

Fishing has always been the thing. Whether you want to bait your own hooks and clean your own fish or hand the rod back the second something is on it, that is your call to make and his job to set up.

Come as a seasoned angler or come having never held a rod. The day works either way.

The mate

You fish with a mate as well as a captain — rigging, gaffing, untangling, and cleaning your catch at the dock afterwards. The crew is why people book the same week again next year.

The boat

40' of custom Sportfish Express

She was built to fish, which is a different thing from being built to look like she fishes. She carries about twice the working deck of other boats her length, so six people can fight fish without fighting each other for room.

The salon is shaded and dry and it is right there beside the gear, not a deck below — you can sit out of the sun without leaving the fishing. There is a proper head aboard. The electronics for finding fish and getting home are current.

“I really can't explain how happy I am about our day on the water. The battles with the amberjack were awesome and the tuna was great to catch and even better at the tiki bar. My kids are hooked on fishing now.”
